We are a nonprofit organization based in Houston and Austin, focused on providing community STEM classes, tutoring, college application consulting, and career coaching for K-12 students.

In today's fast-paced world, it is crucial to equip students with the skills needed for a rapidly evolving workforce. At STEM Horizons, we emphasize hands-on experience and mentorship as essential components for nurturing future innovators. Our programs enable students to engage in real-world projects, collaborative learning, and interactions with professionals in STEM fields. We focus on developing both technical skills and essential soft skills, such as teamwork and problem-solving, for success in any career path.

What we do

Personalized Tutoring Services

We provide personalized tutoring sessions for students in computer science, mathematics, engineering, and related fields, ranging from elementary math to advanced topics like physics and calculus. Our highly qualified college student tutors, who undergo rigorous background checks, offer both virtual and in-person sessions tailored to each student's needs.

We also offer sponsorships for free or discounted tutoring for eligible families and group discounts for community classes, ensuring access to essential educational support.

Community STEM Classes

We've expanded our offerings to include community-based robotics, coding, and general STEM classes for students aged 8-13. Designed by certified educators, these interactive classes foster hands-on learning while developing critical problem-solving and analytical skills. All classes align with Texas education standards, including the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills).

Our Hackathons

To give back to the tech community, we host annual hackathons in local schools. These hackathon events provide a safe, dynamic environment for students to compete in coding competitions, explore the tech industry, and work together with other students to tackle real-world challenges.
